With the theme “Forward, Onward, Upward at 46!” PATTS College of Aeronautics commemorated its 46th founding anniversary last February 11-12, 2015.
The morning of February 11, 2015 marked the opening ceremony of the 46th Foundation Day celebration. PATTSeans, along with the college officials, course chairpersons, department heads, faculty members, and guests, gathered in the school gymnasium for the event. Before the formal opening, a holy mass was held.
The ribbon cutting, led by the guest speaker Ms. Aurora Palma Acelajado and Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez, College President and COO, initiated the program. It was followed by the entrance of college officials, entrance of colors, doxology, and the singing of the national anthem.
Engr. Valdez, in his welcome address, stressed that PATTS College of Aeronautics is continuously recognised as world class and that the school is continuously trying to improve its operations.
After the welcome address, Atty. Anna Katrina V. Cruz, VP for Administrative Affairs, introduced Ms. Aurora Palma Acelajado, President and Chairwoman of Varace Air Corporation. “In everything that we do, we should think only of three things: self, others, and God. We can never go wrong, just think: S.O.G,” Ms. Acelajado said in her keynote speech. Aside from that, she imparted countless inspirational messages in her speech.
When the keynote speech ended, Engr. Lorenzo L. Naval Jr., VP for Academic Affairs introduced the guest celebrity. The crowd went wild when Ms. Aubrey Miles sang and went around the gymnasium to approach the students.
